  • The Vong lab would like to recruit promising and highly motivated scientists to work on challenging, exciting and fun projects in the area of neurobiology. Position offers an amazing opportunity to work in the premier Texas Medical Center community, the largest medical center in the world. Our lab combines advanced omics and neuroscience approach to understand how peripheral nervous system develops and contributes to human diseases. Postdoctoral scientists will receive training in the interdisciplinary area of developmental biology, neuroscience and genomics. Because we are in a highly-interactive and collaborative environment as part of the Texas Medical Center community, postdoctoral researchers will have the opportunities to spend time working in collaborating labs to gain additional expertise.

  • We accept graduate students through Baylor College of Medicine (https://www.bcm.edu/education/graduate-school-of-biomedical-sciences). Prospective students are encouraged to reach out to Dr. Vong to discuss potential projects.

  • We are seeking highly motivated, responsible, and organized individuals to join us. The Research Technician will work under direct supervision of a senior team member or principal investigator. Training in specialized research methods in cell and molecular biology will be provided. This would be an ideal position for a highly motivated individual who is seeking a robust research experience for a minimum of 2 years before moving on to the next chapter of their educational or professional journey.

  • We welcome undergraduate students in our lab. In general, we offer a progressive learning experience where eventually students will be in charge of a small part of the project. Therefore, we expect undergraduate students to commit at least 15 hours a week and at least one year in our lab. Please email Dr. Vong to apply.
